The Juicy Lucy
Like most Americans, I’ve had my share of cheeseburgers.  From fast food to five star, it’s very hard to beat a great cheeseburger for an indulgent meal. How, do you suppose, you could turn the cheeseburger up to 11? Enter the Juicy Lucy.  Specifically, the Juicy Lucy from St. Paul’s “The Nook.”  You thought cheese was good on top of a burger?   Try placing it...

Just finished "Team of Rivals" . . .
Cover via Amazon Just finished “Team of Rivals,” the acclaimed Lincoln biography by Doris Kearns Goodwin.   Although I obviously new the outcome of the story, I’ve never been more sad after completing a book.   Her writing really brought Lincoln to life, in depth that goes way beyond what I expected.

Starbucks Pledge5 →
This is a really great effort by Starbucks, though I’m not sure why they are doing this.   The Pledge 5 program looks to get people to pledge to donate 5 hours of time, all in exchange for a cup of coffee. The best part of this - for me - is the organization of community service activities by zipcode.  I feel that the lack of a “directory” (or at least a well known one) of...

Reblog: Love (and annoying) →
Running a business is not necessarily about making things that are awesome and buzzworthy.  Sometimes it’s as basic as making things less annoying, as Seth Godin points out in his post below. - P ————————— The goal is to create a product that people love.
